Experiental learning methodology (Phương pháp học tập trải nghiệm) là phương pháp học tập tiên tiến đã được triển khai và áp dụng rộng rãi trên thế giới, bằng phương pháp này, người học được gắn kết trực tiếp vào hoạt động học tập, là phương pháp lấy người học làm trung tâm. Phương pháp học tập trải nghiệm giúp tối đa hóa khả năng sáng tạo, năng động, tích cực của người học.
Nhằm mục đích chia sẻ các thông tin về việc nghiên cứu học tập trải nghiệm, Trung tâm Nghiên cứu Cải tiến Phương pháp Dạy và Học Đại học, Trường Đại học Khoa học Tự nhiên, Đại học Quốc gia TP.HCM (Trung tâm CEE) tổ chức seminar giới thiệu:

Diễn giả Paul McAfee (PhD Candidate NCS giáo dục của Đại học Buffalo, giảng viên chương trình quản trị chiến lược và kinh doanh cho State University of New York, University at Buffalo, tại Singapore và the Amherst, New York, Campus) sẽ chia sẻ thông tin về phương pháp, cách thức và kết quả nghiên cứu thử nghiệm của đề tài luận án tiến sĩ giáo dục học về học tập trải nghiệm trên đối tượng sinh viên đại học được thực hiện tại Việt Nam vào năm 2016, 2017.
-Đối tượng tham dự: giảng viên, nghiên cứu viên, học viên cao học, nghiên cứu sinh các trường đại học, cao đẳng, trung cấp chuyên nghiệp trên địa bàn TP.HCM hoặc các cá nhân có quan tâm đến nội dung tập huấn.

Thông tin giảng viên: Mr.Paul Mc Afee
Paul teaches strategic management and entrepreneurship courses for the State University of New York, University at Buffalo, in Singapore and at the Amherst, New York, Campus. Paul teaches Master’s and undergraduate level courses for Daemen College in Buffalo, New York. From 2012-2017, Paul taught undergraduate business degree courses for Keuka College in Vietnam and China, and graduate marketing courses for the University of Science – VNUHCM.
Paul is a Ph.D. student at the State University of New York, University at Buffalo, in the Graduate School of Education Curriculum, Instruction, and the Science of Learning program. He is researching the efficacy of experiential pedagogies in business education.
During his 30 years in management, Paul has helped Fortune 500 as well as start-up companies improve their brands and their marketing campaigns. He was a turn-around & growth specialist with a focus on profitable growth. His executive experiences included global consumer and business-to-business sales and marketing leadership roles at Ciba-Geigy, Danaher, Kodak, and Sprint. As Entrepreneur-in-Residence at the University at Buffalo, Paul has helped early-stage companies develop their strategies. Paul is a veteran of the US Army, having served from 1968 to 1971. He is a Vietnam veteran.
Paul earned his MBA in 1995 from the University of Rochester, Simon Graduate School of Business Administration. He earned his Bachelor of Arts & Humanities degree with honors in 1974, with dual majors from the University of Maryland; Radio, Television & Film Production, and Philosophy, specializing in mathematical linguistics.
Paul is a member of Phi Beta Kappa, which was founded in 1776 and is the United States of America’s oldest and most prestigious honor society. He is a member of the business honor society, Beta Gamma Sigma.
